We’ve got very exciting news for BMW & Mini owners.  If you have a recent model fitted with the Bosch MG1 or MD1 ECU, you haven’t been able to tune your engines because the technology simply wasn’t available.  The only option was fitting an external tuning box.

Why do we prefer to remap via the ECU?

Tuning boxes can’t control all aspects of the engine and will only control boost pressure and fuel rail pressure by falsifying voltages coming from the 2 sensors and then sending the false reading to the ECU. This is not really safe as no other parts of the calibration data are touched to compensate and compliment the increase in boost and fuel pressure.

Also no tuning box can ever achieve the same bhp figures as a custom remap because the tuning boxes only affect 2 parameters compared to the on average 40+ data areas and parameters changed in an ECU remap.  So an ECU remap will achieve a seamless and smooth transition from stock to tuned with far better drive ability and power gains over any tuning box.
So we’re delighted to announce that SA Tuning are one of the first in the world to be able to map all new BMWs through the OBD port, giving you some serious performance and power gains.
Here’s a list of all the new BMWs we can map – if you’d like more details about the specific gains you can expect for your model, fill in our GET A QUOTE FORM HERE or give us a call on 0333 444 0136
